In response to the recently announced Ottawa area water restrictions and related rain barrel subsidy program, RainBarrel.ca invites Ottawa residents to support our Ottawa area partners’ rain barrel sale events as posted on our Truckload Sale page:
Kanata St. Anne’s Catholic School
Kanata-March Horticultural Society
RainBarrel.ca will soon be adding three new rain barrel sales events to be held in Ottawa Saturday, May 7, 2011. Please bear with us as we finalize details and then announce them to you. Rain barrels will sell for $55 each at the new sale events. More locations will be available on other dates. Please visit our Ottawa information page to learn more.
Each rain barrel comes fully equipped with a leaf and mosquito filter basket, an overflow adaptor that permits multiple barrels to be connected in series, 1.2m of overflow hose and a spigot that attaches directly to a garden hose. (Additional overflow hose can also be purchased if required.)

We bought a rain barrel in early summer from the All saints school in Kanata Ontario and was told to fill in the form they gave us and send it with the signed receipt for a refund of some sort, i’m not sure whether it was a part or full refund so i filled in the form and took it in to the local city office on Terry fox road Kanata and haven’t heard a word since. Could you please tell me what happened or did i misunderstand something.
Hi Janet, You likely joined as many as 6000 people in applying for your rebate through the city of Ottawa staff who attended our event. You’ll be able to get information from them about their rebates by contacting them directly. I know that they are still working on responding to the applications. There should be more information on the city’s website at http://www.ottawa.ca Please let me know if you need any further help. And enjoy your rain barrel! [email protected]
Thankyou so much for our helpful information and for sending me the link i need to get more help.
