Rainy, Windy Weekend Doesn't Stop Us!

Waterdown, Guelph and Fort Erie sales were hampered to some extent by crazy Ontario weather but sales still soared for those brave customers who came to pick up their barrels.  Good for you guys – you know those rain barrels are needed NOW to capture the precious liquid from the sky and care for your plants with fresh, unchlorinated, unfluoridated water.  Fort Erie goes again this coming weekend with another sale at the Leisureplex.  Check out our sale at www.rainbarrel.ca  Grimsby’s Trillium Greenhouses also opens this whole weekend with sales Thursday to Sunday in support of the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.  And tiny Millbank distributes its barrels in support of the environment with proceeds going to the Riverdale Mennonite Church!  All the best to our partners in furthering their important causes.

Welcome to our Newest Partner – Toronto Sailing and Canoe Club!

RainBarrel.ca is pleased to partner with the Toronto Sailing and Canoe Club Sailing School, which offers a summer program for children and adults who wish to learn sailing . The school constantly strives to graduate an informed group of new sailors each session who will continue to appreciate and enjoy Ontario’s waterways. Their commitment to conservation of nature and their proximity to a large urban setting makes for an ideal opportunity to continue to emphasize good water management.

RainBarrel.ca is a leader in water containment and reuse products, both for homeowner and canoeists/ campers. Here are some benefits to using rainwater for the garden:

  • collects and stores water for when you need it most
  • rain water is better for your plants, both in temperature and free of additives
  • saves money
  • diverts water from storm drains, thereby decreasing the impact of runoff to streams

T.S.& C.C. Sailing School has arranged to offer local residents an opportunity to pick up a rain barrel at a very competitive price on Saturday May 15th, 2010 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m at the front of our gates inside the city parking lot. RainBarrel.ca makes a big splash!

With 19 partners and adding more each day, we are pretty excited about the response RainBarrel.ca is getting from our non-profit partners.  We’re really pleased to be helping out groups bringing attention to their causes and showing concern for the environment as they raise funds to help with all kinds of important needs.  Congratulations to the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Brant Rod and Gun Club and Erin Radio – each of whom have completed successful sales!

Each partner approached their sale with a different but successful focus: Sudbury combined their truckload rain barrel sale with their annual scrap metal drive and sold the largest number of rain barrels of all our partners so far.  Brant held a breakfast that welcomed the annual opening of trout season combined with their sale.  Erin Radio ran ads for weeks in advance of the local home show where their rain barrels were sold.

Both Brant and Erin are gearing up for their second sales this season since the demand for rain barrels is so high.
