Health Department, with funding support from the Jackson County Board, for county residents only. The sale will be held on June 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the University of Illinois Extension Office, at 402 Ava Road, Murphysboro, Illinois. The Jackson County Rain Barrel Program promotes local green infrastructure and is a great way to conserve water. A rain barrel captures rainwater from a roof and saves it for later uses, such as watering gardens, flowers, indoor plants or washing a car.
A $30 rain barrel subsidy is available at checkout, limit 2 subsidized barrels per residential Jackson County address. Use code JCHDSUBSIDY at checkout to get your discounted barrels. Subsidized rain barrels include: a leaf and mosquito filter basket, spigot/tap, overflow adaptor and overflow hose. Barrels must be picked up at the U of I Extension Office at 402 Ava Road, Murphysboro on June 7, 2024 from 12 PM – 6 PM.
