Murphysboro, IL Jackson County Health Department Rain Barrel Sale

The Jackson County Rain Barrel Program promotes local green infrastructure and is a great way to conserve water. A rain barrel captures rainwater from a roof and saves it for later uses, such as watering gardens, flowers, indoor plants, washing a car, or helping to fill a swimming pool, or pond. The rain barrel sale is organized by the Jackson Co. Health Department, with funding support from the Jackson County Board.


This rain barrel sale is for Jackson County residents:

• Jackson County residents can receive one $30 discount, per Jackson County address. Use discount code “JCSAVESWATER” at checkout to get your discounted barrel.

• Proof of Jackson County residency is required;  you must show driver’s license or state ID at the time of pick-up.

• Residents outside of Jackson County may also participate in this program by purchasing items on this site at the listed price and are NOT eligible for the Jackson County resident discount.

• All barrels and supplies purchased through the Jackson County Rain Barrel Program MUST BE picked up on July 12 from 12 PM – 6 PM, at the U of I Extension office, at 402 Ava Road, Murphysboro.

Single rain barrels include: a leaf and mosquito filter basket, spigot/tap, overflow adaptor and overflow hose. Additional barrels and others products listed on this site may be purchased without a discount and will be shipped with barrels and no additional shipping charges.
