All rain barrels that require a filter basket already include a filter basket when purchased. The filter basket is comprised of a rigid, durable plastic ring and a flexible black mosquito netting basket. It will provide years of reliable service and will not rust or become brittle like other products that use metal screens or rigid plastic baskets. Our filter basket is removable to permit cleaning of leaves and other debris. It has been designed to fit into a 6 inch diameter opening to accept downspouts of all standard sizes and yet small enough to prevent children from accessing the interior of the rain barrel
