RainBarrel.ca is pleased to partner with Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation. The two organizations look forward to sharing revenues raised by this year’s Rain Barrel Sale.
About us: Since 1984, Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind has been training guide dogs for blind and visually impaired Canadians. This involves breeding, raising and training guide dogs, as well as providing transportation and accommodations for our clients from across Canada, who live at the training centre for approximately one month to train and become familiar with their new guide dog. All of these services are provided at no cost to the client; and as we are not affiliated or funded by the CNIB or the Government of Canada, we rely completely on fundraising initiatives and donations from the public.
Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation, founded in 1970, is a registered local environmental charity working to protect the Rideau River and its tributaries right here in Eastern Ontario. Specialties include tree planting, water quality protection, outdoor education for youngsters and acceptance of land donations for future conservation areas in the watershed.
Orders are now being taken for a Saturday, April 20th, 2013 pickup date. Distribution will be from 9:00 AM to 1:00PM at 4082 Rideau Valley Drive, Manotick. No household limits and no residency requirements are imposed; however, only barrels ordered in advance are guaranteed to be available.
Each rain barrel comes fully equipped with a leaf and mosquito filter basket, an overflow adaptor that permits multiple barrels to be connected in series, 1.2m of overflow hose and a spigot that attaches directly to a garden hose. The price is $55 per barrel. (Additional overflow hose can also be purchased if required.)

PLEASE NOTE – IMPORTANT PICK UP DETAILS
Rain barrel pickup :
- Saturday, April 20th, 2013 from 9am to 1pm
- 4082 Rideau Valley Drive North, Manotick (off Prince of Wales)
- Since you have ordered a rain barrel online, it is guaranteed; there is no need to rush to stand in line at 9am. Take your time, avoid the line, and show up when it is convenient before 1pm.
- Bring your Receipt and CASH if not prepaid
- Receipt is emailed to you
- PayPal purchases cannot be released without a receipt/proof of purchase or identification.
- For unpaid barrels, we will only accept CASH at the sale event. Credit and debit cards are NOT accepted on the day of the event

Hi and thanks for asking: : Rain barrels are typically too large to fit in the trunk of a vehicle; however they do fit in the backseat of most 2 and 4 door vehicles. Please protect vehicle upholstery from dirt, dust or moisture that may have come in contact with your rain barrel. Plastic, paper, cardboard or blankets may be used as suitable protection Leah@RainBarrel.ca
Hi I would like to buy a rain barrel but I am not sure if it will fit in the corner where I would like it to place. How much of a clear space you would need to fit it in a corner. I have a L shape corner where I would like to place a rain barrel.
