RainBarrel.ca is pleased to partner with the Blenheim-Harwich Horticultural Society, a not-for-profit group that encourages interest and improvement in horticulture. The members of BHHS encourage all homeowners to use rain barrels to collect rainwater to use in the garden – this is good gardening practice with both environmental and financial benefits. The recycling of large food containers into rain barrels is also an ecological benefit as the barrels can only be used once for food.

Orders are now being taken for an April 28, 2012, pickup date, in the parking lot of Sobeys’, 20210 Communication Road, Blenheim. (Blenheim is part of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Ontario), between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. We will be in the South–East corner of Sobeys’ parking lot. No household limits and no residency requirements are imposed however, only barrels ordered in advance are guaranteed to be available.

Each rain barrel comes fully equipped with a leaf and mosquito filter basket, an overflow adaptor that permits multiple barrels to be connected in series, 1.2m of overflow hose and a spigot that attaches directly to a garden hose. There are three colours available – black, grey and terra cotta. All have a capacity of approximately 220 litres and are approximately 1m tall and .6m in diameter. The price is $60 per barrel. (Additional hosing can also be purchased if required.)

Rain barrel pickup

• Saturday, April 28th, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Pick up is from the parking lot of Sobeys’, 20210 Communication Road, Blenheim. We will be in the South–East corner of the parking lot.
• Since you have ordered a rain barrel online, it is guaranteed, so there is no need to rush to stand in line at 10:00 AM. Take your time, avoid the line and show up when it is convenient before 1:00 PM.
• Bring your Receipt and CASH if not prepaid
• Receipt is emailed to you
• PayPal purchases cannot be released without a receipt/proof of purchase or identification.
• For unpaid barrels, we will only accept CASH at the sale event. Credit and debit cards are NOT accepted on the day of the event
